ASICS GEL-KAYANO 14 Gets Treated With a Neutral-Heavy Palette

The ASICS GEL-KAYANO 14 has been unveiled in a brand new colorway that focuses on neutral-toned color-blocking. This variation has emerged after the model was recently reimagined by Angelo Baque — the founder of AWAKE NY — for a multi-colored “Rebirth of Cool” colorway.

When the ASICS GEL-KAYANO 14 was initially introduced to the market back in 2008, it was positioned as a premier running sneaker that was built with breathable mesh, louder colors and shimmery materials. However, this particular iteration steers away from that narrative and opts to with a more lifestyle-focused motif. Most of the ground is built with mesh underlays and buttery suede overlays that start at the and end towards the bottom of the throat, all of which is dyed in a “Graphite” hue. Paired alongside this is an ecru toe box, white ASICS branding atop the tongues and heel tabs that split between rich maroon and navy stripes. Downstairs, creamy complexions are applied to the sole pieces along with its exposed GEL units that deviate with a slightly darker shade.

If interested, you can buy this pair right now via select retailers like Sivasdescalzo for €160 (approx. $188 USD).

For more news in the world of sneakers, the ASICS GEL-LYTE III was recently fashioned in a duo of sporty palettes.
