The son of the late Hall-of-Famer Wes Unseld Sr., Unseld Jr. has been an assistant coach with the Denver Nuggets. His father played and coached for the Washington Bullets/Wizards, and worked in the front office as well.

Unseld Jr. will now have the task of getting the Wizards back into the playoffs. The Wizards reached the Eastern Conference playoffs, losing in five games to No. 1 seed Philadelphia 76ers. With Wizards’ All-Star Bradley Beal having only one year left on his contract, it will be interesting to see if Unseld Jr. can sell him on the Wizards new direction under his leadership.
